nally did it! I finished my first project making crochet lace trim! Learning to crochet onto fabric has been on my bucket list for a long time… so I’m beyond excited to share the finished project and a tutorial with you all.
It started with some beautiful napkins my grandma gave me years ago. They had pretty lace scallops all around the edge. The way the lace was made right on the fabric made it unlike any other lace I’d ever seen before.
I always kind of wanted to learn how to make lace like that.
You might have noticed a random piece of paper show up while I was cutting the pieces for the DIY Pencil Case I shared with you a couple weeks ago. I folded that template from a piece of paper, and it took me less than a minute to make. No endless measuring and marking on the fabric was involved. It was just easy, simple, and quick.
I’m really excited about this project! It’s a ruffled pillowcase for a roll pillow, and it looks fancy but only takes straight seams, some gather lines and a little patience to make.
I’m so happy I finally made one of these. It’s so much more convenient than searching around my travel bag for my pencil. Now my pencils are right with my sketchbook anytime I want to grab it as I head out the door.
